Fish Out Days at the Hatchery"
The Association organises
and runs, in conjunction with the Eastern Region Fish and Game Council, the monthly fish out days for children
which are held at the hatchery. Members give their time and skills
free of charge. Up to 300 children a day can receive casting
tuition and instruction in playing and landing a fish. The programme is available to children aged between 6-14 years.
The pond is open from 9.00am - 12 noon and 1.00pm - 3.00pm. The cost per child is a donation of $3.00. A trout fishing licence and complete sets of gear are provided on site.
