

The Interclub Trout Fishing Competition 2026 will be hosted by the Rotorua Anglers Association over the weekend 21-22 March.
An entry form is below together with the tournament rules & prize structure.
Tournament Rules

Fishing allowed in all Rotorua lakes and streams.

All legal fishing methods allowed, either boat or land based.

Anglers must possess a current Fish and Game licence and abide by all Fish and Game regulations.

Anglers must belong to a recognised fishing club.

Junior anglers are aged under 18 years.

Registration is by online entry form up until 10am Saturday morning.

Hours of fishing are 5 a.m. Saturday until midnight and 5 a.m. Sunday until 12noon Sunday.

Weigh in to be held at the Rotorua Anglers Association clubrooms Pererika street at the following times - Saturday weigh in - 12.30pm until 2pm and 5.30pm until 7pm. Note, fish caught after the Saturday weigh in close will be included in the Sunday weigh in. Sunday weigh in will be 12noon until 1.30 pm. Anglers should be in the queue by 1.15pm.

The weigh master has the discretion to reject fish not presented in a fresh condition.

No fish will be accepted after 1.30 pm Sunday.
Prize Structure
The Interclub Trophy will be won by the team that posts the highest average weight of all fish entered by that team over the two-day tournament.

Best condition factor fish.
Heaviest fish caught by a junior angler.
